Mark Rylance was born on the 18th of January, 1960 in Ashford, Kent, England and he was born to his mother Anne Skinner and to his father David Waters and both his parents were English teachers and he grew up with a younger sister named Susannah, an opera singer and author and a younger brother named Jonathan Rylance.
Rylance and his family relocated to the United States from England in 1962, they lived in Connecticut before they moved to Wisconsin in 1969.
Mark Rylance attended University School of Milwaukee and later studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
